The six national finalists of the Girlfriend Schwarzkopf LIVE Colour 2008 Model Search will be revealed in the November issue of Girlfriend, on-sale 24 September.
The six national finalists heralding from Western Australia, Victoria and New South Wales, beat over 3000 entrants in the national search. In November one of the finalists will grace the fashion pages of Girlfriend Magazine, become the face of Schwarzkopf LIVE Colour, and win a two-year contract with the prestigious Chic Management.
Now in its 17th year, the Girlfriend Schwarzkopf LIVE Colour Model Search has launched the careers of some of Australia’s most successful international models and talent including Catherine McNeil, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Sarah Stephenson, Ruby Rose and Alyssa Sutherland.
Girlfriend Editor, Sarah Cornish says: “The Girlfriend Model Search has a wonderful history of making girls into international stars and I am sure this year will be no different. But for me, this year’s model search was also a fantastic opportunity to meet thousands of passionate, positive and creative teens. I think that all the six finalists are such “Girlfriend” girls – they are fun-loving, with individual style, a great attitude and determination to succeed. It was great to see them again on the finalists shoot; I have no doubt we’ll see all of them on the catwalk at some point in the future.”
The six national finalists are:
1. Josie Vann, 13, Katanning WA
2. Karina White, 14, Hawthorn WA
3. Karla Reid, 12, Fitzgibon, QLD
4. Alex Klages, 15, Hawthorn East, VIC
5. Gemma Weaver, 14, Collaroy, NSW
6. Kate Budrodeen, 14, Clareville, NSW
