Olympics: Swimming - China claims gold, silver and world record in 200m butterfly

Australian Jessicah Schipper has lost her title as world record holder after finishing third in the women's 200m butterfly final at the Beijing Olympics today.

Schipper led at the half way mark, and had the fastest reaction time off the block, before Chinese swimmers Liu Zige and Jiao Liuyang dominated the back half for China to finish 1-2.

Liu broke the world record in a time of 2:04.18 to claim the gold, while Jiao also finished under the previous world record, claiming silver with a time of 2:04.72.

Schipper claimed the bronze for Australia in the time of 2:06.26.
