Australia and Germany have been the highlighted teams on day six of the Beijing Olympics in the women's hockey, with both teams earning multi-goal victories.

Hockeyroo captain Nicole Hudson led out the Australians, scoring the first goal of the match in the captain's third hundredth test cap for Australia, starting the momentum rolling with the Australians cruising to victory 3-nil.

After being level 1-all at half time with the United States, Germany scored three goals in the second half for a two goal victory with a final score of 4-2.
