Mr T Ad Pulled In Anti-Gay Row
Chocolate company Mars has pulled an ad for Snickers featuring Mr T after complaints from a US pressure group that it was anti-gay. The ad During which time he shouts: "Speed walking. I pity you fool., features Mr T firing Snickers bars at a speed walker wearing tight-fitting yellow shorts, forcing him to break into a run.

"You are a disgrace to the man race. It's time to run like a real man."

The US-based Human Rights Campaign criticised Mars for perpetrating "the notion that the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community is a group of second class citizens and that violence against GLBT people is not only acceptable, but humorous".
It is the second time in as many months that an ad made by agency AMV BBDO has been pulled, in addition to the news that Nike Inc pulled an ad for a new pair of basketball shoes because of an anti-gay message.

Heinz pulled an advert for its Deli Mayo, which featured two men kissing, after complaints from pressure groups that it was promoting a gay lifestyle.

Lesbian IVF couple both have twins - on the same day
A lesbian couple of nine years have welcomed four new babies to their family on the same day. Karen Wesolowski and Martha Padgett, both impregnated via IVF, gave birth to two sets of twins less than 24 hours apart. As the four babies were created from Martha's eggs and donor sperm but two embryos were planted in each woman, the two sets of twins are actually quadruplets.

Wesolowski said that life with four new babies had been 'really hard. But we're so thrilled, knowing they're all related and can help each other through life.'
'Our family is complete' She added.

BUFFALO, N.Y  - Lesbian couple married in Canada win health benefits in U.S.
A lesbian couple who were married in Canada in 2006 has won a landmark case against a New York insurance company over the spousal health care benefits law. After filing a suit against Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Western New York three weeks ago for denying health benefits to a validly married couple, the health insurance company announced it will begin covering married same-sex couples, according to a news release from the New York Civil Liberties Union.

Lesbians win payout after being outed by estate agent
A lesbian couple received £5,000 in compensation after an estate agent outed them by writing the word "lesbians" in an advert for their house.
The word appeared in small print at the bottom of an internet description of the £650,000 home of Suzanne Richards, 36, and Sarah Dobinson, 44.

Lawyers said the couple had received the payout after claiming that bosses at Jackson- in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, had breached discrimination law.
