The perfect record for world number three Novak Djokovic has continued tonight after defeating Australian Lleyton Hewitt in the fourth round of the Australian Open.
Djokovic won the two and a half hour encounter claiming seven of the ten service breaks, and produced sixteen more winners throughout the match then his opponent.
The straight sets victory to the Serbian means that Djokovic has not lost a set in his opening four matches, and looks to be a threat heading deep into the second week.
Hewitt was the final Australian player left in the singles main draw, meaning that an Australian cannot win an Australian Open singles title this year.
Novak Djokovic (3) def Lleyton Hewitt (19): 7-5 6-3 6-3
Djokovic will now play fifth seed David Ferrer for a spot in the semi-finals. Earlier today, Ferrer defeated twenty-second seed Juan Carlos Ferrero in a four set all Spanish affair.
