Although not necessarily known in the same limelight as her partner, but Candice Alley, music chart entrant on multiple occasions and wife of swimmer Grant Hackett, has said that Hackett is relaxed and will give it 100 percent for today’s 400 metres freestyle final.

“Grant will give it a hundred per cent at everything because that's just in his character and he's got nothing to prove to me.

“Whatever he does, I'm just excited to watch him race because he looks great in the water. He just has to get into that head space and that's where he's at and he's just really focused. I suspect he is extremely relaxed.”

Hackett qualified fifth fastest for the 400m final which will take place at around 12.20pm AEST today.
