The Olyroos will kick off Australia's Olympic campaign with a game against Serbia tonight.
The Olyroos will begin Australia's quest for gold at the Beijing Olympic Games in a game against Serbia tonight in Shanghai. Olyroos Captain Mark Milligan has reiterated the players’ mentally and physically readiness for the match.
In Beijing, Olympic veteran rower James Tompkins has been chosen as the Australian flag bearer at the opening ceremony just hours ago.
Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, along with Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary will be amongst those present in support at the opening ceremony tomorrow. Mr Rudd will hand over the flag Tompkins to lead the team into the National Stadium.
Of the 433 strong complete Australian squad, 230 athletes have been confirmed by the Australian Olympic Committee to march in the opening ceremony, Aussie swimming legend Grant Hackett amongst those choosing to stay away to focus on his events ahead.
