Hillary Clinton is our pick for President as over 20 states head to the polls on Super Duper Tuesday.
Hillary's experience and track record give her the credibility needed to push an agenda for gay rights in our country.
More than 20 states will go to the polls on Tuesday to help decide the nominees for President. This is probably the most important election of our generation, so far; and knowing the issues is the most important factor.
As gay Americans this election could be more important for us. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have both expressed their concerns for pushing gay rights, but one candidate's experience gives them the power to make our hopes and reality.
Hillary Rodham Clinton is our choice for President. Hillary's experience and track record give her the credibility needed to push an agenda for gay rights in our country. A long time friend of the LGBT community, Clinton's record speaks for itself.
Hillary opposed the Federal Marriage Amendment (FMA) and helped to defeat it twice on the floor of the United States Senate. The LGBT community and activists turned to Hillary Rodham Clinton in both 2004 and again in 2006 to help defeat the FMA.
While First Lady, Hillary broke with the Clinton Administration and called for the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell policy. Senator Clinton has continued to push for the repeal in Congress and has promised to continue the battle when she is our President.
Senator Clinton has been a leader in the fight for increased AIDS funding and access to services for HIV positive and AIDS patients. Hillary wrote the Early Treatment for HIV Act that would allow states to provide Medicaid coverage to low-income individuals living with HIV.
Hillary Rodham Clinton supports a trans-inclusive Employment Non Discrimination Act (ENDA). She favors ending discrimination in the workplace against individuals based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
Hillary is also the strongest champion of full adoption rights for LGBT couples.
"Gay and lesbian couples are just as loving and nurturing as any other parents," Clinton said. "Anyone who thinks children are better off in foster care or orphanages than in a home where they are cared for and loved by a same-sex couple just doesn't understand a child's best interest."
Barack Obama's campaign lacks creditiblity. I say, put your money where your mouth is; but Barack's campaign is afraid to focus on his past record. That's because Obama doesn't really have the experience needed to run the White House. He doesn't want to talk about his record, because it doesn't exist. Instead the Obama campaign continues to wow voters with false hope and empty promises.
The Obama campaign is a 'bandwagon.' Many voters seem to backing Barack, because it is the cool thing to do. That's not how we choose the next leader of the free world.
Hillary Clinton has a proven track record of working for us! That's the lady we want as our President! If you live in one of those all important "Super Tuesday" states, then we encourage you to go out and support a candidate who really supports our community. The gay community MUST get behind Hillary Clinton!
