In today’s modern society it doesn’t take much to make you feel sick. In a world ruled by religion and politics, individual people are too often cast aside because they are ‘different’.
Many of us cannot seem to accept that there is no normality that we share, and that every single person is as unique and important as the rest. It’s that minority of people, who in the real world totals to millions- that make this place a living hell.
It is these people that are lead by their religion, their beliefs or their sheer arrogance or immaturity to others, that make peoples lives so unbearable. It is these types of people who are too arrogant to shut up and listen to the stories of others and accept that we are different from one another; it is these people who are the plague on this world.
In 1998 Matthew Sheppard, a citizen of the United States was only 21 years of age when he was tied to a fence, stripped nude, beaten, pistol whipped, and tortured all because he was gay. He was then left for dead over night, until discovered unconscious the next day; he died in hospital a few days later and never regained consciousness.
Not only that, but soon after began the “War on Fags” throughout America.
Christians openly admitted on live television that “Matthew was in hell and burning where he belonged”. It was not just the younger generation that expressed these views, it was the older generation too.
How can these people be so cruel? How can anyone be so unforgiving?
Would you beat to death a vegetarian, or someone who wore glasses, or a person with a speech impediment?
What motive did they have to beat to death a young man, just because he was of a different sexual orientation, is that really a justified cause? How mindless are these people, how blind?
There will be those of you who are reading this, who have most probably thought,
“So what? He was only gay”, well just wait there, let the rest of the world torture you, just because you’re straight.
Would you beat to death a vegetarian, or someone who wore glasses, or a person with a speech impediment? Would you hate someone because they had an artificial limb? Would you wish someone dead because their hair had fallen out?
At the end of it all, we are all here on this one planet, to do what, we just do not know.
To think that there are people we SHARE this planet with who think it’s justifiable to treat others like this, then maybe they are the ones that just need to rethink what they are actually doing here, and what good they are.
Religion is no excuse, no god gives a person this right, though if there was this almighty god, who shall punish all those who dare to be different, who dare to be themselves, who dare to live their lives, how they think they should be lead… then remember this…
“GOD MADE ME GAY”
