It's now nearing one week since the floods of New Orleans, US. Stagnant water is collecting in the city and there is threat of an epidemic of disease. What have Bush and the American government done in this time? Compared to what they can do? very little. A look at the language of the new millenium, and where our language might be headed Summer is coming to a close and most pride events are now over. Whatever pride event you went to, I hope you had a fantastic time and enjoyed the freedom that we get for one of 365 days in the year. I certainly did. But what message do pride events give out? Is it that it is still necessary to fight for freedom or are they just an excuse for a huge street party? This year, we've had a difficult summer. This summer of distress, for me, was triggered by the bombings in London, followed by several bomb scares in different cities across the UK. As I sat in front of the TV on the morning of July 7th, trying to keep the website up-to-date with all of the events as they unfolded, I started to value my life a little more, and question myself and my daily activities.
